Helix is seeing historic trading volumes on its platform. With a huge volume increase, Helix surpassed $191 million in trading volume within a 24-hour period on July 17, 2023, ranking it the #7 DEX, as listed on CoinMarketCap.
There’s no better time than now to get started on the premier decentralized exchange built on Injective.
How To Get Started
To begin trading on Helix, you will need to:
- Connect your crypto wallet
- Deposit funds into an Injective wallet
- Start trading on spot, perpetual, or use Swap feature
Step 1: Connecting your crypto wallet
First, go to Helix and connect your wallet. Helix is compatible with multiple wallets, including MetaMask, Keplr, Ledger and Trezor. Connect any one of these wallets to automatically create your Injective wallet.
Your Injective wallet is the inj address that is associated with your crypto wallet - it will be displayed on the top right-hand corner of your homepage.
Step 2: Deposit Funds to Helix
Option 1: Bridge assets To Helix
To place trades on any of the market listings on Helix, you will need to deposit funds into your Injective wallet. To deposit funds, select “Account” at the top right-hand corner of the homepage, and click the “Deposit” button.
Choose the origin network of your token (Ethereum in this case), the amount you would like to bridge, and the token you would like to deposit.
If this is the first time you have bridge assets from Ethereum to Injective, you will need to “Set Allowance” first, which allows the bridge contract to use your USDT for the transfer. This will prompt you to sign a transaction via MetaMask or another wallet.
Next, click “Confirm” to confirm your transaction. Note that you need to pay a small amount of ETH gas fees to bridge tokens from Ethereum (but don’t worry there won’t be any gas fees on Injective!)
Once your transaction is completed, you can check your USDT balance via the Account page on Helix.
Option 2: Bridge assets through the Injective Hub
You can also bridge assets via the Bridge on Injective Hub, to experience the fully fledged Bridge with native support for Ethereum, Cosmos, Wormhole, and IBC-enabled chains.
Taking the popular IBC-enabled blockchain Celestia as an example.
First, select Celestia from the drop menu as the origin source. Connect the funding wallet, which you can choose from Keplr, Ninji, Leap or Cosmostation, and make sure it has TIA balance.
Enter the amount of TIA tokens you would like to transfer and click “Transfer Now”.
Review your transaction and confirm. Once the transfer is completed, you can check the TIA balance in your Injective Wallet or Account page under Helix.
Option 3: Onboard with Fiat
Helix also has multiple fiat to crypto solutions through Kado, Transak or Payfura, which allows you to purchase USDT (the quote token needed to begin trading on most of the listings) or INJ with traditional payment options, including Visa, Master Card, ACH transfer and wire transfer.
Step 3: Start Trading on Helix
Once the transfer is completed, you can check the balance on your Account page and you are ready to trade! For more help on how to get started on trading, visit the articles below:
